For a comprehensive exploration of the country's major highlights, a maximum of 2 weeks is recommended. If you have the luxury of time, extending your visit to 3 weeks allows for a more leisurely experience. However, if your focus is on gorillas, chimpanzees, and a national park, 8 days should suffice.

Walking in Kampala is generally safe. However, exercise caution in busy areas, as there are smart pickpockets. Our group did the white water rafting tour in Jinja (which Kampala Walking tours organized for us) and the tour from Jinja back to Kampala where we got to experience the source of the river Nile, Sezibwa falls, and more!!
